ABOUT

MIRA CAESS

I like to tell stories about connection—across time, worlds, and the parts of ourselves we sometimes so easily forget.

About characters who stand at the edge of something bigger, and choose to leap anyway.

Because a story is never as distant as it seems.

Currently seeking representation for my debut novel WINTERTHIEF from THE CALIBURN SAGA. All images on this website are part of my visual concept and moodboards for my stories and are original work.

THE JOURNEY

BEHIND THE STORY

Writing

MIRA CAESS

AUTHOR

I’m a storyteller shaped by fog-drenched mornings in London, the rhythm of the underground, and the clarity that comes when you finally step into your own voice.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Songwriting from the University of East London, I spent five years writing and living in a city where myth and modern life collide. Between Kilburn rooftops and Camden cafés, I began chasing stories that blur the line between now and once upon a time. Stories with roots in history and hearts that beat in the present.

Before writing stories, I wrote music.
I studied composition under BBC composer Maurizio Malagnini and worked closely with Coldplay cellist and arranger Audrey Riley.
Their guidance shaped my sense of emotional pacing, dynamics, and storytelling through sound—skills I now carry into every chapter I write.

I write lyrical, emotionally-driven fantasy and romantasy that asks what it means to choose hope first.

My debut series, The Caliburn Saga, reimagines the Welsh legend of King Arthur. Not as a warlord, but as a windwalker. A boy who runs into myth with nothing but a pendant and a pulse.

If you’re drawn to slow-burn revelations, and characters who walk the edge of two worlds—you’re in the right place.
